About Us
The Knox Boat Fishing Club inc (KBFC) is a family boat fishing club committed to promoting responsible recreational angling through fellowship and sportsmanship.
Club meetings are held fortnightly on a Wednesday, visitors are always welcome and new memberships are encouraged. The club rooms are located at Schultz Reserve, Kingloch Pde, Wantirna (Victoria, Australia) and are licenced for the responsible serving of alcohol.
The club provides:
- a full syllabus (official 2009/10 syllabus) of angling events focusing on a range of fresh and saltwater species in a number of locations across Victoria – an annual Game fishing tournament occurs over seven days each March in Bermagui, NSW
- prominent and expert guest speakers on a range of fishing, boating, safety and environmental sustainability topics
- a strong emphasis on family activities that cater for male, female, intermediate and junior competitive divisions
- a range of social events including an annual family weekend at Nicholson River, junior members Christmas party and regular restaurant nights
- opportunity to improve fishing and boating skills through exposure to experienced and successful anglers who are only too willing to share their knowledge
